Hi,
when trying to start Adabas 7.4.3 with “MEMLIMIT” parameter over 2GB memory size, it gets

```
PARM- ERROR 45 detected during system open
           Getmain 16 MB Line failed
           Memory related parameters probably too big.
```

(LBP is set to 1400 MB )

Looking forward to hear you…
Thanks.

Hi,
My understanding is that the Adabas buffer pool is always allocated in 31-bit storage above the 16M line, but below the 2G bar. The Adabas 7.4.x Release Notes explain how Adabas makes use of storage above the bar, in the section “Enhanced Support for Operating System Features”.
