# Adabas 7.4.4 compatible with cics 6.1

#### _ **Product/components** used and **version/fix** level: Adabas 7.4.4 with cics 2.3_

#### _Detailed explanation of the problem: We do have adabas 7.4.4 running with cics 2.3. Planning to upgrade cics to 5.6 or 6.1. What to know whether adabas 7.4.4 is compatible with cics 5.6 or cics 6.1._

Hi @diwahar.selvaraj

Our current versions of Adabas on z/OS are: v861 and v862 (to be released mid 2026-Oct).

ADA v861 supports CICS 5.5, 5.6, 6.1, 6.2

ADA v862 supports CICS 5.6, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3

ADA v7.4.4 had end of maintenance (EOM) mid-2014.

You can check all supported product versions in Empower here:

You can check the box “Show prior Product Versions” to also show older product versions and filter for product version 7.4.4.
