# Adabas-tcp Authentication

Hi there, im testing this nodejs library in a docker adabas ce container and works well. But, now, i want to test in a real scenario, and i need to authenticate to make a call, it is posible?.  
The documentation in the github page , dont says nothing about that.

Hello,  
adabas-tcp, as the name implies, uses the ADATCP ([Adabas TCP/IP](https://documentation.softwareag.com/adabas/ada671luw/remote/remote-adatcp.htm#remote-adatcp)) as the access method to Adabas. Unfortunately Adabas isn’t currently capable of authenticate ADATCP calls, but it will be added in a future version. As soon as Adabas has the capability we’ll add it to adabas-tcp.
