# Fastpath and RC commands

How can I reduce the huge amount of RC commands? I thought AFP would reduce it? Is file number 0 the solution? Other tricks 😃

Forgot to mention that the versions are AFP742, NAT414, ADA742, CICS 3.01.00

Ok, along with this thread, most of the programs written that run on this environment is Natural. And we all know when Natural programs exec a fetch, RC are generated…now AFP documentation states that only RC that are gnereated from Direct access type commands, will AFP optimize, so my question is are RC’s generated by Natural with CID X’00000000’ derived of Direct access or not direct access commands.
