# JavaScript exit to extract values from unprotected fields

Get the fields labels’ values for unprotected field

No error, no value produced in the script

JavaScript exit is implemented to extract the values of some fields from some identified screens. According to this _attached script comment_, these screens must be associated with the particular screen group – do not see how this group is special ?

The protected field value is obtained via the following expression:

> gx\_engine.activeWindow.contentDocument.getElementById(“CaseNumber”).innerText

How to obtain the value of the unprotected field ?
