when ever i am trying to start my own created database to start i am getting this msg ‘Parameter PLOG not allowed by licensing’. ---

If you have the Community Edition of Adabas PLOG is disabled by default and you will get this error message. So what you need to do is change the start up parameters of your database to set NOPLOG. You do this by starting the Adabas DBA workbench, selecting the database you want (but don’t start it), then select “Profile” and “Nucleus Parameters”. Scroll down until you see PLOG, click on it and uncheck the YES box and it will change to NO. Select SET and PLOG will change to NOPLOG and then SAVE. You will now be able to start your database. ---
