Adabas 7.4.4 compatible with cics 6.1

Product/components used and version/fix level: Adabas 7.4.4 with cics 2.3

Detailed explanation of the problem: We do have adabas 7.4.4 running with cics 2.3. Planning to upgrade cics to 5.6 or 6.1. What to know whether adabas 7.4.4 is compatible with cics 5.6 or cics 6.1.

Our current versions of Adabas on z/OS are: v861 and v862 (to be released mid 2026-Oct).

ADA v861 supports CICS 5.5, 5.6, 6.1, 6.2

ADA v862 supports CICS 5.6, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3

ADA v7.4.4 had end of maintenance (EOM) mid-2014.

You can check all supported product versions in Empower here:

You can check the box “Show prior Product Versions” to also show older product versions and filter for product version 7.4.4.
