Query for Deleting Records

Hi all
We have retention period reduction from 377 days to 71 days and we should reduce the files below to approx. 10-20% of current please can you advise the below approach.

  1. File 608 (approx. 80million) can we delete records straight off this file using a Utility and CHANGE-T (T) time selection field??
  2. File 446 (36k) and 447 (approx. 67million) have a relationship. If I select the required records and create a Dataset with ISN’s for File 447 can a Utility (ADALOD (DDISN)) be used to delete?
  3. For this exercise do we need to switch PLOGS off? These records will no longer be required. We could pre backup the file and use SAVEDREC?
    I’m trying to find the right solution and welcome any ideas.
